The vintage in Argentina.
Mendoza's vintages are decided by two forces that never appear on a European vintage chart: the Pacific oscillation, which decides whether the summer is wet or dry, and summer hail, which can remove a single vineyard in twenty minutes while the one beside it ripens normally. Altitude does the rest, holding acidity that the latitude alone would never give.
Pinot Noir from vines planted in 1932, bought and revived by Piero Incisa della Rocchetta of the Sassicaia family. The 2018 was named Wine of the Year by James Suckling.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle. If you have not bought an older bottle before, our note on fill levels explains what those words mean and what they are worth. The 2025 leaves storage once, insured and temperature-controlled, for your home, your cellar or your account at a bonded warehouse in Switzerland.
