Bordeaux in 1984.
Cold, wet flowering destroyed the Merlot crop almost entirely. It is a left-bank year by default: on the right bank, several estates made nothing at all.
A garden of barely two hectares bought by the Thienpont family in 1979, fermented in a cellar under a modest house. Production rarely passes a few hundred cases, which is why Le Pin became the first cult wine of Bordeaux.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle.
