Fine, firm and less fêted than 1964, which has kept it affordable for longer than it deserved.
Created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II, who wanted a clear bottle with a flat bottom so nothing could be hidden inside it. The 1964 and 1966 are among the finest old Champagnes still drinking.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle.
