Burgundy in 1976.
A drought year and a hot one. Tannins hardened early, and the wines spent thirty years waiting for fruit that in many cases never came back.
A monopole of 1.8 hectares that yields around five thousand bottles a year, sold only as part of a mixed case. Nothing in Burgundy is more difficult to obtain, or more quietly resold.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle. The 1976 leaves storage once, insured and temperature-controlled, for your home, your cellar or your account at a bonded warehouse in Switzerland.
