A large, healthy, classically proportioned Piedmont crop after the heat of 2003. Fine acidity and real length.
Made only in the finest years, from the Cascina Francia vineyard, and aged for seven years or more in large old casks. The 1978 is the vintage every Barolo drinker wants to have tasted once.
