Bordeaux in 1961.
Frost at flowering cut the crop by more than half. What remained ripened in a dry summer into tiny, thick-skinned berries, and the concentration that followed made 1961 the yardstick every other Bordeaux year is measured against.
The 1961 vintage is the yardstick every other Bordeaux year is measured against, and Latour made the wine of the vintage. This bottle comes from the Berry Bros. & Rudd Family Reserves, one of the finest private cellars in London.
