Bordeaux in 2016.
A record-wet spring followed by a long dry summer and cool nights, which is close to the ideal sequence. Classical proportions, fresh and firm.
The 1961 vintage is the yardstick every other Bordeaux year is measured against, and Latour made the wine of the vintage. This bottle comes from the Berry Bros. & Rudd Family Reserves, one of the finest private cellars in London.
