- Saint-Joseph Pierre Gonon: 7 bottles
Rhône in 2010.
The classical counterpart: a cold spring cut yields, then a dry summer with cool nights gave the best structure of the decade, north and south.
The Gonon brothers farm the steep granite terraces of Mauves by hand. The old-vine bottling is a few barrels from vines planted before the war, released only in some years and almost never seen.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle. If you have not bought an older bottle before, our note on fill levels explains what those words mean and what they are worth. The 2010 leaves storage once, insured and temperature-controlled, for your home, your cellar or your account at a bonded warehouse in Switzerland.
