Sauternes in 2007.
The outstanding modern Sauternes vintage. Poor for red Bordeaux, perfect for botrytis, and picked over many passes.
The only premier cru supérieur of the 1855 classification, made from botrytised grapes picked berry by berry. Yquem lives for a century or more; the 1894 was bottled when the château still belonged to the Lur-Saluces family.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle.
