Bordeaux in 2017.
Frost at the end of April cut the crop severely, and in places to nothing. What was picked from unaffected parcels was good.
Eleven hectares of blue clay on the Pomerol plateau, farmed by the Moueix family and made almost entirely from Merlot. Pétrus never had a château to speak of; it had the soil, and the soil made it the most sought-after wine in Bordeaux.
Condition is described before anything travels: fill level, label, capsule and original case, bottle by bottle. If you have not bought an older bottle before, our note on fill levels explains what those words mean and what they are worth. The 2017 leaves storage once, insured and temperature-controlled, for your home, your cellar or your account at a bonded warehouse in Switzerland.
